Sandflies are smaller than mosquitoes, but are just as nasty. They can spread leishmaniosis – a fatal disease attacking your dog’s internal organs (liver, lymph nodes, kidney, etc.). Sandflies are widespread across the Mediterranean, Africa, the Middle East, South America and China. They are most active from dusk, through the night till dawn.

Only female mosquitoes and sandflies feed on blood. They are mostly opportunistic and your dog is on the menu.
Bites from mosquitoes and sandflies can carry serious diseases, some that can also cause disease in humans.
